Straight answers

Is claiming a number free?

Yes — claiming your number is free. Signup includes your first 1,000 credits free: 1 credit = 1 second, so that's 1,000 seconds of talk time at $0. Texting is free too. There is no activation fee. This page is an interactive preview of that claim flow — the live Alice line itself answers now at (272) 447-0013.

What exactly is a credit?

1 credit = 1 second of talk time. A 60-second call uses 60 credits. Your free signup credits give you 1,000 seconds. When they run out, replenish at $10/month for 1,000 credits — or switch to Alice Monthly and stop counting. Texting never uses credits; it's free.

What happens when my credits run out?

Top up with another 1,000 credits for $10/month, whenever you need them. Or take the second lane: Alice Monthly at $49/month with everything included — no credit counting at all. Founder spots on the $49 lane: Only 5 spots left.

Can one login hold more than one number?

Yes. One login can hold multiple numbers — claim a second number for another crew, another service area, or another business, free to claim the same way.

Do I need a second phone?

No. Your business number lives in the app on the phone you already carry. One device, two numbers — and the Command Bar at the bottom keeps calls, texts, contacts, voicemail and settings one tap away.

Can I still answer and call myself?

Yes — voice calling is core. Call out and your customers see the business number. Take any call yourself with mute, speaker, hold, transfer and record. Alice covers the calls you can't get to — or answers first, every time, if you set her to.

Can I take over a call Alice is handling?

Yes. While Alice is on a live call, tap Take Over and you're talking to the customer yourself — Alice steps back, keeps taking notes, and still sends you the summary after. No dropped call, no awkward handoff.

Can Alice call out, and transfer calls?

Yes. Alice can dial out herself from your business number — reminder calls, quote follow-ups, “we're on our way” calls. And any live call can be transferred to a human (you or a crew member) or to another AI, right from the in-call controls.

What does Alice do on a call?

She greets the caller with your business name, answers the everyday questions (hours, service area, pricing basics you give her), takes a message with a callback number, and sends you a summary right after she hangs up. You control her greeting and when she picks up in her settings.

Can I text my whole customer list at once?

Yes — that's Broadcast. Pick your recipients from your contacts, write one message, and it goes out to everyone from your business number; replies land back in your Messages like a normal text. Broadcasts run on text packs: $5 per 100 texts — buy a pack whenever you need one. Your regular one-to-one texting stays free. Broadcasts send from your registered business number, and standard 10DLC registration applies.

How do I connect my own contacts for Broadcast?

Once you've claimed your number, open Contacts → Connect contacts. On Android Chrome, Connect phone contacts opens your phone's own contact picker — you choose exactly who to share, and nothing is read silently. On desktop and iPhone, where that picker isn't available, import a CSV or vCard (.vcf) file exported from Google Contacts or iPhone Contacts instead — you review the list before anything saves, and you can always add a contact manually. Imports save to your account; if a save can't reach the server, they stay on your device, labelled “On this device — will sync to your account,” so an import is never lost. In Broadcast, your saved contacts appear in the recipient picker with checkboxes and select-all — pasted numbers remain the alternative.

Are calls on my line recorded?

Yes — every call on your business number is recorded for you, whether you answered it, Alice answered it, or you took over mid-call. Find the recording in Call History, with a play button right next to the call's transcript and summary, so you can replay exactly what was said instead of relying on memory.
